Divorce

Divorce, or dissolution of marriage, is more than the end to your marriage.  It is a complete transition of your life.  During the divorce process, you may become a single parent.  You may become the parent responsible for the majority of child support.

Usually emotions run high and depression is common for both parents and children.  Displays of strong emotion in the presence of spouses or children can adversely impact the process.

Your spouse or you may wish to relocate with the children.  Both spouses financial status will change. The money normally used to support one household will now be used to support two separate households.  The assets you and your spouse have spent a lifetime acquiring, will be divided between you.

Sometimes during a divorce you can lose sight of what is truly important and this may have a negative impact on your overall case.  Our goal at Johnson Family Law P.C. is to help our clients through these tough times, focusing on both short-term and long-term goals.
